Coming just in time for the drearier months, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro 'Sequoia' brings us the somber tones.

The color scheme is notably darker than some of the more recent drops we've seen on this shoe. What is perhaps most remarkable about the overall aesthetic here is how consistently unique it is. One would think that dressing it in relatively neutral tones would dampen the "wow" factor. Fortunately, the Foamposite Pro stands firm.

The shoe's construction is iconic for a number of reasons, not least of which is the fact that the process is extensive and futuristic for its time. The upper on this design is more than just a visual fixation.

Notably, the Foamposite Pro was once considered the future of basketball sneakers. This comes with good reason because the upper's materials were - and still are - incredibly durable. Unfortunately, this shoe also takes quite a bit of time to break in. Until your foot has molded into the right spots, it'll feel a bit bulky to put on.

Nonetheless, it's absolutely worth the trouble. Once the upper on these bad boys break in, it's all smooth sailing. The durability is also matched with the support properties of this Posite base. We can see why this shoe's on-court performance was so attention worthy when it first dropped.

Here, we see the Foamposite Pro distinguish itself through subtle contrasts. The darker Sequoia tone on the upper's base is joined by slight accents of a much brighter Orange hue via branding on the insole and forefoot mini-swoosh.

The color scheme here is reminiscent of military-style looks that Nike tends to pull off around this time of the year. Still, it's no doubt a Fall classic and a welcome addition to any rotation.
